Own your place on the map

Grabit is a large, persistent 2D world divided into purchasable Spaces. Discover businesses, find available land, and claim your own corner of the map in five simple steps.

How it works

01

Explore the map

Grabit is a persistent 2D world divided into thousands of Spaces, rendered as a living city. Pan and zoom to browse districts, spot businesses, and see which plots are still open.

02

Find a Space you love

Every Space is either available, claimed, or owned. Hover any plot to preview it, and click an available one to inspect its size, price, and district before you commit.

03

Register your business

Claiming a Space is also your signup. Enter your startup's name, a one-line description, category, and your founder/company profiles — no separate account needed.

04

Claim it free — protect it to keep it

You can claim any available Space for free. But a free Claim is temporary: someone else can reclaim it. To protect your Space from being taken, you pay to own it for 3 months.

05

Lock in your corner of Grabit

While protected, your Space can't be reclaimed. It goes live on the map with your business's name, logo, and profile for the whole world to discover. Renew before the protection lapses to keep it.

Space statuses

Every plot on the map is in one of three states.

Available

Open land, ready for you to claim.

Claimed

Free to set up. A temporary occupant — someone else can reclaim it.

Owned

Paid protection for 3 months. It can't be reclaimed while protected.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account to look around?

No. You can explore the whole map without signing in. An account is only created when you claim a Space.

What's the difference between claiming and owning?

Claiming is free but temporary — anyone can claim any available Space, so someone else can reclaim it. Owning costs money and protects the Space for 3 months, so it can't be taken while protected.

Who decides if I own a Space?

The backend does. Once you've paid, the server verifies and finalizes ownership — the frontend never marks a Space as owned just based on what you clicked.

Can I lose my Space?

Protection lasts 3 months. If you don't renew before it lapses (plus a short grace period), the Space can be reclaimed by someone else. Renew on time and it stays yours.
